Many families with young children from overseas have sought asylum in Indonesia. They have left everything behind in order to prepare a better future for their little ones. With limited access to the public services available (such as education, healthcare, etc), refugees struggle daily to find hope.
JoyCare wants to reach out to this community and welcome them to our family!
We have had the great privilege of opening up a class (2-5 y/o) and subsidizing their tuition fees. The refugee children now come to JoyCare, Monday to Friday, to engage in a wide variety of activities. From singing nursery rhymes to conducting science experiments, and from learning their letters & numbers to creating arts & crafts, the children come with joyful hearts and are finally given a dedicated space to just be kid, without the worries of life weighing them down.
